The Dawning Light was a subversive terrorist organization disguised itself as a religious movement. The organization was destroyed by Shang-Chi and Leiko Wu.
Various assassins were known as "Agent Syn." All versions of Agent Syn were surgically altered to resemble Alexi Kalishnikov, who was presumably the first such agent. All were members of "Dawning Light," which was a terrorist cult used as a cover for terrorist operations. Whether there were more like traditional ideological terrorists or more like traditional cult members seems moot. The members of Dawning Light were fanatical in their beliefs (whether ideological, secular, political, or theological in nature) and were willing to kill for their group and its goals.
