Valeria belonged the Zefiro, the impoverished Roma (or "Gypsy") tribe that Doom was born into.
In the "House of M" alternative reality, Valeria survived into contemporary times. She married Victor von Doom (so that her married name was "Valeria von Doom"), gained super-powers and was a member of the Fearsome Four as the heroic "Invincible Woman." Valeria first appeared as "Invincible Woman" in Fantastic Four: House of M #1 (Sep. 2005), by John Layman, Scot Eaton and Don Hillsman.
