Respected landowner in Salem, Massachusetts. In 1691 his now-adult adopted daughter Charity Brown rejected an impulsive amorous advance by him. He revealed her nighttime conversations with Dracula (who he mistook for the Devil) to townspeople. She was sentenced to death as witch. During her hanging Dracula killed him.
