Adaptations of this novel:
Morocco (1930)

This novel is also known as: Jolly, die Frau aus Marrakesch.

Benno Vigny's 1927 novel Jolly, die Frau aus Marrakesch was adapted to the big screen and became the 1930 film Morocco, starring Marlene Dietrich in the title role as disillusioned nightclub singer "Amy Folly."

The character list presented here is based on the cast list for the film Morocco. We have not actually read the book or seen a character list for the book itself. The film is a fairly faithful adaptation of the book, and presumably the characters are essentially the same in both versions of the story. But it is possible that some of the minor characters in the film do not actually appear in the book.
