This publication is also known as: FOOM Magazine #3 or F.O.O.M. #3.
"F.O.O.M." is an acronym for "Friends of Ol' Marvel." FOOM (as the logo appeared on the cover, without periods) was the Marvel-published fan magazine that ran from February 1973 until Fall 1978. It was the successor to the cancelled Marvelmania fan magazine and preceded Marvel Age.
FOOM #3 featured 31 pages of various articles and features, including a section announcing the winner of a FOOM Contest to "Create a new Character." The winner was Michael Barreiro, for his super-villain "Humus Sapiens." 28 years later, the character appeared in Thunderbolts #55 as "Humus Sapien."
