The character "Roadblock" first appeared as an action figure which was part of Hasbro's third series of "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" toys (Series 3). The action figure was packaged with a Filecard with details about Roadblock, including his training and specialized combat skills. The Roadblock action figure also came with a number of toy accessories: a light green Browning .50 caliber machine gun, light green tripod, a brown backpack, a brown ammo box (that attached to the backpack), and a light green helmet.
