This prose text story is an adaptation of: Rogues in the House (1976): "The Frost-Giant's Daughter".

"The Frost-Giant's Daughter" is an early Conan story written in 1932 by Robert E. Howard. When he submitted the story to Weird Tales, it was rejected by magazine editor Farnsworth Wright. Howard re-wrote the story with a different protagonist (Amra of Akbitana). Howard apparently re-titled the story as "The Frost King's Daughter." The story was actually published in The Fantasy Fan in 1934, but the editor changed the title of the story to "Gods of the North."

Howard's original version of this story was not published until many years after his death.
