This play/musical/stage drama is also known as: Writer's Block, or The Cubs Just Won the World Series.

"Writer's Block" was first performed on 1 May 2014 as part of the McClintock High School drama department's annual "One Acts" program, a night in which three one-act plays are performed. The event is sponsored by the "McClintock Masque and Gavel" club. The program on this evening, which began at 7:00 p.m., consisted of "Arionette" (written by Jacob Unterreiner), followed by "Writer's Block," and finally "Lovers and Other Strangers: Bea, Frank, Richie and Joan" (written by Renée Taylor and Joseph Bologna). The performance of "Writer's Block" began at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Oddly enough, the printed program which accompanied this event featured the line "April 1, 2, 3 2014" on the cover, misidentifying the actual dates of the program. That is because the same digital template file was re-used from the year before without changing the month. The premiere performance of "Writer's Block" was on May 1st, despite what the printed program states.
