This publication is also known as: The Mutant Misadventures of Cloak and Dagger #14. The third Marvel Comics series starring Cloak and Dagger as title characters began in 1988 and was titled The Mutant Misadventures of Cloak and Dagger. For 13 issues, this series featured an elongated title, with "The Mutant Misadventures of" a part of the title, although clearly smaller than the names of the star characters. Presumably the purpose of this was to capitalize on the popularity of the mutant X-Men, whose comics sold better than most other series. With issue 14 of this third Cloak and Dagger series, however, the "Mutant Misadventures" part of the title was dropped, and the logo on the cover of each issue was simply Cloak and Dagger. Thus, this is one continuous 19-issue series series with a single title change. Some sources list issues 14 through 19 of this series under the original title: The Mutant Misadventures of Cloak and Dagger. Clearly this is the third volume of Cloak and Dagger, so issue #14 is Cloak and Dagger (vol. 3) #14.
