Blood Syndicate discovers Paris Island is drowned, but that Edmund and Cornelia are alright. Blood Syndicate try to attack the being called Rift, but don't dent him. Rift first turns the Syndicate into some "proper" boarding school students. When that fails Rift transforms the Syndicate into a mockery of the X-Men. And finally kills them by turning them into statues, except Fade who escapes unnoticed. Rift also kills Dogg, Edmund and Cornelia by turning them into bubbles.
