As indicated by the story title, this issue chronicles the "origin of the Microverse." Key figures in the creation of the Microverse, including the Star in the Sword and Prince Wayfinder, are depicted in the flashback retelling of this history. The spacecraft Star-Seed is seen as well. This is the ship that Prince Wayfinder travelled in when he fled his home planet Ithacon and went to Earth, before eventually creating the Microverse.
