The "alien religions" category includes alien characters who worship in alien religions. Typically aliens who are portrayed with religious beliefs or worship subscribe to a religion practiced universally (or nearly so) by their entire race. For example, religious Skrulls nearly always practice what can simply be idenfied as "Skrull religion." Only in rare circimstances are individual alien races portrayed as having widely divergent religious groups, as is the case on Earth. Occasionally alien religions include denominations that encompass adherents from many different space-bound races, such as the Universal Church of Truth (Marvel) or Lady Styx worship (DC). Another cross-species group is the Green Lantern Corps, agents of the Guardians of the Universe. The self-appointed Guardians and their Green Lanterns act primarily as a universal peace-keeping force, but they also function as a de facto religion for some of its operatives and supporters.
